How it Works

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor partner with Do it Best as we serve our thousands of independent home improvement businesses across the United States and around the world.

Do it Best is the only US-based, member-owned hardware, lumber and building materials buying cooperative in the industry today. Founded in 1945, our company has grown to support independent hardware stores, home centers, lumberyards, industrial/commercial distributors and web-based businesses. With billions in annual sales, we pride ourselves on our service excellence and our industry low cost of operations.

Our Merchandising team is committed to continually reviewing new products to find the very best vendors and programs to drive sales for our diverse member businesses. Open Buying Days are held twice each year for us to review potential products to add to inventory.

Partnering with us requires a strong commitment to providing market-driven products supported by outstanding service. If you are interested in becoming one of our vendor partners, please complete the vendor questionnaire. Once you have completed the vendor questionnaire, you are invited to submit product-specific content and images for our Merchandising team to review.

Open Buying Days

We host two Open Buying Day events each year as the first step for prospective vendors like you who are looking to partner with us. The event offers you the opportunity to meet face-to-face with our Merchandising team to discuss your products. For the opportunity to receive an invitation to participate in our next Open Buying Day event, please complete the vendor questionnaire.

Next steps

• Our Merchandising team will review and respond to all applicants.
• Vendors selected to attend the next Open Buying Day event will receive an invitation with instructions detailing the event including a required $300 non-refundable donation to the Do it Best Foundation.
• Open Buying Day appointments provide for a 30-minute meeting with a merchandise manager where you will be able to present your products and business plan.
