Do it Best to announce plans for ecommerce advancements during fall market

FORT WAYNE, IN—Do it Best is building on its position as the first and best choice for products, services, and solutions for independent home improvement dealers with the planned introduction of multiple new ecommerce features during its upcoming fall market. These new, fully integrated features will build off a comprehensive ecommerce strategy that continues to strengthen and streamline the capabilities Do it Best provides its members and their online and brick and mortar customers.

Built on the MOCE ecommerce platform, the four key enhancements will include providing online shoppers same-day in-store pickup of orders placed online; the ability for members to sell both items stocked by Do it Best and items that members stock that aren’t bought through Do it Best on their MOCE websites; streamlined curbside pickup; and the co-op’s custom-built Pick N Pack mobile app. Do it Best is working with POS providers to offer full integration of all these features.

“As always, our focus is on developing and delivering solutions that are relevant, robust, and turnkey—which is why we are so excited about sharing these new features with our members during the fall market,” explained Rich Lynch, vice president of Marketing at Do it Best. “Our team and partners have worked tirelessly to ensure that our ecommerce offerings are in sync with shifting consumer dynamics. Launching these enhanced shopping features will drive growth for our members’ stores, as well as increase convenience and ease of experience for their customers.”

Driven by a three-pronged ecommerce strategy that focuses on traditional retailers, e-tailers, and online shoppers, the co-op serves unique member businesses with the products and distribution agility necessary to enhance consumer shopping experiences in a digital world and across all touchpoints. The Pick N Pack app, for example, is streamlining the online order retrieval and fulfillment process for the stores where it’s currently being beta tested, saving time for employees and shoppers and improving order accuracy.

“These new features serve as the latest innovative demonstration of our commitment to being the first choice and best choice for our members and their customers,” said Corbin Prows, ecommerce development manager. “As the habits and needs of today’s consumers continue to shift, our team is working to lead the way in ecommerce innovation—and, most importantly, ensuring member growth and profitability across all touchpoints.”

The 2020 Do it Best Fall Market will take place online from September 13-18.
